A University City in Canada
During a vacation in the Toronto Area, a visit to Guelph might be worth it. This City has the charm and friendlyness of a smaller town, with cute little cafes and restaurant along the main roads, and several points of interest. Only 100km southwest of Toronto this makes a good day trip.
In the winter time it can be rather cold and windy there. But even then they don’t hesitate to set up an ice skating area in the central area of Guelph. There are very cute and cosy Restaurants along Quebecstreet.
During summer time it is nice to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens which are next to the University of Guelph. In the Centre of the City are buildings with victorian architecture, the Wellington County Courthouse and the River Run Centre (Theatre). You’ll find a few Museums, Libraries and Bookstores. There is also a well known impressive Church (Church of our Lady Immaculate).
